Antique 3 Gal. EDWARDS & WALKER WOOD BUTTER CHURN, c1800's
IMPROVED WOODEN BUTTER CHURN #1. This 1800's table top cylinder barrel churn with cover was manufactured by the EDWARDS & WALKER Company of Portland Maine. It is made of poplar with tin banded staves. The natural finished churn has the company name, product name and cow symbol is stenciled on the sides in red lettering. The cast iron handle with shaft is removable to allow for cleaning of the mixer blades. It measures 14" high x 13" long x 9 1/4 wide. The handle adds another 4 1/2 to the width. It is in good condition with no loose slats, bands or joints. It is missing the knob on the cover and the stenciling has worn in some areas. The item "Antique 3 Gal.
